What is PIS/PASEP?

PIS is a program created to reward employees under a formal contract in private companies. This reward is paid annually to a certain group of workers who need to have worked at least 30 days in the previous year, earning an average of up to two minimum wages and have been registered in the PIS for at least 5 years. The maximum amount paid by PIS is one minimum wage, for those who worked for 12 months.

What is PASEP?

Very similar to PIS, which is aimed at employees in private companies, PASEP is a specific program for public employees.
